As we mentioned as part of the #NextLevelChef project, we will be highlighting simple recipes that can be made from the ingredients in your pantry and fridge.
In my fridge I had leftover spaghetti sauce, shredded mozzarella, butter and yeast. In my pantry I had some salt and bread flour.
Now you may be saying, "Who has yeast in their fridge?" Well everyone should, but that's another conversation. If you don't have any yeast try this No-Yeast pizza dough recipe:
Our friends at Pizza-Porta have some great pizza dough recipes as well:
My good friend Craig Tabor (who's Big Green Egg cookbook comes out this May so go order it on Amazon!!!) has a great deep dish recipe:
Anyway, as you can see there is no shortage of recipes for making homemade pizza. Cook it on the grill, in the stove with or without a pizza stone! But make some great pizza and make a bunch so the kids can put their own toppings on their pizzas!!!
You'll love it and they will too and best part is you don't even have to leave the house!
PRO-TIP: No Mozzarella? Use the sandwich provolone you have in the fridge instead.
Also, melt some butter with garlic and brush it on the crust. It gives it a little Pow Pow!
